Our Story

A few years ago I looked into what exactly went into shampoo and conditioner, I was surprised, they all contain a lot of different chemicals but also animal products and artificial fragrances. I looked for alternatives, I saw shampoo bars were available with fewer chemicals and also plastic free, so I ordered a few different types to try, some left a scum on my hair and left it looking and feeling greasy, others left my hands so dry that they turned flaky in just a couple of washes, also they contained fragrance not needed for your hair. I decided to have a go at making my own.

Five failed attempts later and a shampoo bar was made. I intended it to only be used on my hair and my clients at my backwash, this turned out to be the best thing I could have done, straight away the chemical build up was being removed, my curls started to return, my hair was shiny and I could go longer periods of time without washing my hair, I used them on my clients and from nowhere I was getting messages from strangers asking me to make them one too, it turns out my clients friends and family noticed the change in their hair too.

As interest and orders grew, I started a Facebook page to help people find out more about our products.

With my sister being in the beauty industry, we put our heads together to make a conditioner bar to go with our shampoo bar, only using vegan products and essential oils to give the hair everything it needs without using chemicals. The perfect compliment for the shampoos.

We put all of our products through the necessary testing and regulatory sign-offs to prove they are safe.

And now here we are.
